Tula and Yuri Dolgorukiy launch their missiles

On 24 August 2019 two submarines of the Northern Fleet conducted successful launches of sea-launched ballistic missiles. Tula submarine of the Project 667BDRM class, deployed near the North Pole, launched an R-29RM missile toward the Chizha test site. Yuri Dolgorikiy launched a Bulava missile from the Barents Sea to the Kura test site in Kamchatka.

Previous launch of the R-29RM missile took place in October 2018 (also from Tula). Bulava was last launched in May 2018, from Yuri Dolgorukiy (it was a four-missile salvo launch).
