An interesting detail in the announcement about today's launch of a RS-24 missile:
The Space Forces used the capabilities of the Space and Missile Defense (RKO) and of the ground command and measurement facilities to continuously monitor the launch of the RS-24 ICBM from Plesetsk and its flight to the designated target.
It's hard to tell what does this mean exactly - all launches are monitored to some extent or another. However, this time the Space Forces have a recently launched early-warning satellite, Cosmos-2440, deployed at the point 80 degrees East on geostationary orbit, from which it had a very good view of the launch.
