The Strategic Rocket Forces conducted a successful flight test of a RS-24 missile. The missile was launched at 16:20 MSK (13:20 UTC) from a mobile launcher at the Plesetsk test range toward the Kura test range in Kamchatka. The missile carried multiple warheads, which were reported to successfully reach their targets.
This is a third flight test of the RS-24 missile, which is a MIRVed version of Topol-M. First two took place in May 2007, second - in December 2007. Two launches were planned this year, but then these plans were scaled down. One more flight test may take place in 2009. Deployment of the missile is expected to begin in 2009 (with the Teykovo division).

How many warheads?
This is very much all we know at this point - How many warheads?
How about the type of warhead that they plan to install in the missile? I hope that its not going to be a weakened type simply to compensate for the additional weight. It would be better if they develop a lighter warhead but with the same or even larger yield.
