The Knyaz Oleg submarine of the Project 955A/Borey-A class arrived in Viluchinsk, its permanent base at the Pacific Fleet. The submarine was accepted for service in December 2021.

Knyaz Oleg was accompanied by the Novosibirsk attack submarine of the Yasen-M class, which will also be based in Vilyuchinsk.
