The U.S. State Department released aggregate New START numbers from the 1 September 2021 data exchange. Russia declared 1458 deployed warheads, 527 deployed launchers, and 742 total launchers. In March 2021 the numbers were 1456, 517, and 767 respectively.

The U.S. numbers in September 2021 were 1389 warheads, 665 deployed and 800 total launchers (1357, 651, and 800 in March 2021).

In its own release, Russia repeated its concerns about conversion of 56 Trident II launchers and 41 B-52H bombers as well as about training silos.
