At 05:05 MSK (01:05 UTC) on April 27, 2010 the Space Forces performed a successful launch of a Kosmos-3M launcher from the launch pad No. 1 of the launch complex No. 132 of the Plesetsk launch site. The satellite delivered to orbit, Cosmos-2463, is a navigation satellite of the Parus system.
Cosmos-2463 received international designation 2010-017A and NORAD catalog number 36519. According to NORAD data, it was deployed in an orbit with an perigee of 990 km and apogee of about 1030 km, inclination of 82.9 degrees, and orbital period of about 105 minutes. This orbit is typical for satellites of the Parus navigation system.
Previous Parus launch, of Cosmos-2454 satellite, took place in July 2009.
