The Rocket Forces completed the 2008 test launch program. The initial plan was to conduct 11 launches, which was later scaled down to nine before settling at the final number of seven:

  2. 08/28/08 - Topol
  3. 08/29/08 - Dnepr/R-36MUTTH (RapidEye satellites)
  4. 10/01/08 - Dnepr/R-36MUTTH (THEOS satellite)
  5. 10/12/08 - Topol
  6. 10/22/08 - UR-100NUTTH
  7. 11/26/08 - RS-24

General Nikolai Solovtsov, the commander of the Rocket Forces, speaking to journalists today said that two launches were moved to 2009. Next year, the Rocket Forces are planning to conduct 13 launches. Five of them will be Dnepr/R-36MUTTH space launches (two from Yasnyy/Dombarovsky and three from Baykonur), five - flight tests, and three - launches to confirm reliability of missiles and extend their service lives.
