On December 22, 2006, the Voronezh-DM early-warning radar, deployed in Lekhtusi was accepted for "experimental combat service". This means that the radar began operations as part of the early-warning network, but for some time it will be operated jointly by its designers and the military personnel.
The radar began operations in December 2005. The Voronezh-D radar is a modular construction - since the first photos of the radar were released, its antenna was increased from about 10x30 m to 30x30 m.
One more radar of this type is being built at Armavir. It was reported that this radar began its first operations on 15 December 2006 and will enter service by the end of 2007.

recently I read an article here about holes in russian radar defense. will these new radars close these holes?
thank you
There was a small gap created by the decommissioning of the radar in Skrunda. The new radar has closed that.
Armavir in Armenia?

No, Armavir is in Russia.
What about the eastern corridor? Supposedly a launch from certain areas in the Pacific could reach some strategic targets. Are plans to build a Voronezh-DM looking east to close this gap?
There is no serious gap in radar coverage in the East. Even if there is something there, it's insignificant.
Do someone has the GE-coordinates for the antenna location?
