A launch of a Tselina-2 electronic intelligence satellite is scheduled to take place on June 29, 2007 from Baykonur. This launch appears to be originally scheduled to take place in November 2006, but then was moved to the second quarter of 2007. So, it's about time.

It's return to flight for the Zenit, after the rather spectacular failure at the beginning of this year. I believe this is also the first of 'upgraded' Zenit vehicles to fly from Baikonur in preparation of the commercial 'landlaunch' venture.
Is the Angara on track for service to replace the Zenit in the near term ???
Some time, maybe, but certainly not in near term.
First launch of the smallest Angara version 1.1 is scheduled for 2011 from Plestzk. When all Angara versions are available, they will surely replace government Proton and Zenit launches, maybe also some Soyuz and Molnija flights. But it is the question what happens to the commercially managed Zenit-flights. If SeaLaunch is still economic successful, I think Zenit will fly for a long time.
Thanks ... Angara has a few versions, any idea what ones will be the main payload carriers ??
Tomorrow, June 28 2007, 'Dmitri Donskoy' SSBN will go to the sea for a new test launch of 'Bulava'.
The launch was of Tselina-2 was successful.
