The Space Forces are preparing to launch the Cosmos-2423 military satellite tomorrow. According to some reports, the launch of a Soyuz-U rocket is scheduled for 17:00 MSK on September 14, 2006 from Baykonur. It was reported earlier that this is likely to be a Don/Orlets optical reconnaissance satellite.
Two more dates have become available. If everything goes as planned, on 22 November 2006 a Zenit-2 rocket will launch a Tselina electronic intelligence satellite and on December 25, 2006 a Proton-K launcher will deploy three new Glonass-M satellites.
In addition to these, two more military launches are expected in November-December - of Meridian and Parus satellites from Plesetsk.
