Somewhat unusually, Russia released aggregate New START numbers before the United States this time. Russia declared that as of 1 September 2022 it had 1549 deployed warheads, 540 deployed launchers, and 759 total launchers. In March 2022 the numbers were 1474, 526, and 761 respectively.

The U.S. numbers in September 2022 were 1420 warheads, 659 deployed and 800 total launchers (1515, 686, and 800 in March 2022).
