On August 17, 2011 the Rocket Forces performed a successful launch of a Dnepr launcher from a silo at Yasnyy/Dombarovsky. The launch took place at 11:12:20 MSK (07:12:20 UTC). The Dnepr launcher is a converted R-20B/R-36MUTTH missile. The launcher successfully delivered into orbit eight satellites - Sych-2 and BPA-2 Advanced Avionics Unit (Ukraine), NigeriaSat-2 and NigeriaSat-X (Nigeria), RASAT (Turkey), EDUSAT (Italy), Aprizesat-5 and Aprizesat-6 (United States).

The launch was initially scheduled for August 4, 2011, but was moved to August 17, reportedly because of a commercial dispute among the participants of the launch.
