Bellona reports that the Zvezdochka plant in Severodvinsk began liquidation of the K-496 Borisoglebsk submarine of the Project 667BDR/Delta III class. This means that at the moment there are no submarines of this class with the Northern Fleet - the K-44 Ryazan was transferred to the Pacific earlier this year.
This also means that the number of START-accountable Project 667BDRM submarines is now five, reducing the number of SLBMs to 70 and the number of warheads that they can carry to 578.

Borisoglebsk out x Dolgorukiy in ?
Some how I dont think that many of the 667BDR submarines are in working order even if it sas so on the paper. If russia would send every SSBN they had working right now it probably wouldnt be more then 4-6.
I honestly don't think this is too much of an issue for the time being, particularly as long as the R-36M2's are still in service.
Pavel you seem to be ominously quiet. So I'll post what recently has been going on. Another unit of 3 mobile Topol-M missiles is entering service. One more Bulava test is coming this year, with 4-5 more scheduled next year. The armed forces cut down the number of launches for next year. And a new heavy ICBM to replace the RS-20 Satan is being developed.
Just 3 mobile Topol-M? In a thread here was assumed to be 9 for deployment this year.
