On September 10, 2006 the K-433 Sv. Georgiy Pobedonosets submarine of the Pacific Fleet conducted a successful test launch of a R-29R ballistic missile. The missile was launched from the waters around Simushir Island at 18:50 MSK (14:50 UTC) toward the test site at the Kanin Peninsula. The two warheads were reported to have successfully reached their targets.
The previous launch of a R-29R missile was conducted on September 30, 2005. On October 7, 2005, the Borisoglebsk submarine of the Northern Fleet launched a Demonstrator re-entry capsule. Although the capsule has not been recovered, the missile launch was reported to be successful.

Could anyone tell? - What are the range and payload capability of the missile R-29R? If this is also a submarine launched missile why are there failures in Bulava launches?
Hi,
there are informations on the R-29R missile.

Why there are failures in Bulava-launches? Because its a new missile, and failures are always possible when you launch a missile/space booster. Its not like starting a VW Golf.

When will be retired the "Delta-III"?
They should have a short remaining service life.
