A group of Russian officers from the 12th Main Directorate left Moscow on Friday to observe U.S. nuclear weapons safety and security exercise. It is a reciprocal visit - U.S. observers were invited to an exercise in Russia that was held in August 2004.

Let's hope that the head of the Russian team, Gen. Vladimir Verkhovtsev (he is the Deputy Commander of the 12th GUMO), will write a good report about the trip - his account of the Russian exercise was quite interesting.
