On October 28, 2010, the Russian Navy conducted successful launches of two SLBMs - at 14:30 MSK (10:30 UTC) the K-117 Bryansk Project 667BDRM-class submarine of the Northern Fleet, launched an R-29RM/SS-N-23 Sineva missile from the Barents Sea toward the Kura test site in Kamchatka.

"Several hours later," the K-433 Sv. Georgiy Pobedonosets Project 667BDR-class submarine of the Pacific fleet launched an R-29R/SS-N-18 missile from the Sea of Okhotsk toward the Chizha test range on the Kanin Peninsula.

The most recent launch of R-29R missiles was conducted in October 2009. The R-29RM Sineva was last time launched in August 2010.
