Russian press quotes the director of the Kazan aviation plant as saying that the Tu-160 strategic bombers will undergo a second round of modernization, which will include "an almost complete replacement of all avionics." According to the director, the overhaul will be completed in 2019.

Is there any additional news on the new replacement bomber for the Tu-95MS (Bear H), Tu-160 (Blackjack) and Tu-22M3 (Backfire C) bombers? Earlier Kremlin press had this aircraft, the PAK-DA bomber, to fly in 2019.

There were no news lately. We have to assume that everything goes as planned, but I wouldn't be surprised if PAK-DA is late a few years.
More then a few years. Resuming an upgraded Tu-160M production will eat quite a lot of money, and personnel. This means the PAK-DA is going on the back burner. And to be honest an upgraded Tu-160M with PGM capability, and modern avionics and comm gear, is a more realistic goal, and fills most of the VVS requirements.
