On October 16, 2012, the Air and Space Defense Forces (VKO) conducted a successful test launch of the 53T6 (Gazelle) interceptor of the A-135 missile defense system, which is currently deployed around Moscow. The test launch took place at 12:01 MSK (08:01 UTC) at the Sary-Shagan test site in Kazakhstan. According to the official representative of VKO, the goal of the test was to confirm technical characteristics of the currently deployed systems.
The last time the 53T6 interceptor was tested in December 2011.

Are these yearly launches only test the missile reliability, or is there any interception involved?
There is no actual missile that is intercepted in these trials.
Are 53T6 missiles still in production or all these trials are just from the existing stockpile? In the latter case, do you know how many of these missiles exist?
Best regards,
Ivan
I don't know. My guess would be that these are all missiles from the existing stockpile. There is some information that the previous test, in December 2011, was a test of a new interceptor - with a new motor and guidance.
