Flight tests of the Bulava missile will not resume until the fall of 2010, the Russian defense minister was quoted as saying. Earlier it was reported that the first tests after the December 2009 failure will take place in June 2010. A special commission that was set up to investigate the problems with the missile was expected to deliver its report on May 20, 2010. However, there has been no word about the results of the investigation.

In am not an expert on Russian SLBMs, but I have read that liquid-fueled "Sinevas" are considered modern and reliable enough to act the delicate role of credible deterrence. Why not to use them instead of a solid-fueled ,perhaps too complicated, Bulavas?
It's way too late to redesign the Borei-class subs that are being built to use liquid fueled missiles instead of solid fueled missiles.
